5 Things to Expect from My Blog

1. Introduction – Welcome to My World of Stories

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! Whether you’re a romance swooner, a fantasy daydreamer, or a mystery sleuth, there’s something for everyone in this blog—because I write it all.

I started as a ghostwriter about 2.5 years ago. I’ve written a lot—historical western romances, cozy mysteries, you name it. The kicker? Thanks to NDAs, I can't share it. So, I started experimenting under my own name to find my voice as an author… and let’s just say those first attempts were all over the place.

But through that chaos, I discovered my three storytelling homes: sapphic romance, magical fantasy, and cozy mysteries. This blog is where they all come together.

2. Updates on Sapphic Romance (Claerie)

Under the pen name Claerie, I write sapphic romances—stories full of heart, joy, and love that I wish I’d had growing up.

Romance wasn’t something I planned to write at first, but when I started, I realized just how much I loved telling stories where love is central and worth celebrating. My latest release, A Dash of Love for Christmas, came from a random holiday idea and quickly became one of my favorites.

What you can expect here:

  • Sneak peeks at upcoming books.

  • Reflections on love stories and the joy of writing romance.

  • Plenty of happily-ever-afters.

3. Magical Adventures in Fantasy (CJ)

Then there’s CJ, my name for all things fantasy. Writing fantasy is like opening a door to a world where anything is possible—magic, found family, and high stakes.

My ongoing sapphic fantasy serial has been a labor of love. It’s filled with evolving magic systems, intricate mysteries, and characters I adore. If you’re into stories that sweep you away, I’ve got you covered.

What’s coming next? The first omnibus of this serial releases in March 2025, bundling together the first three books into one bingeable volume.

What you can expect here:

  • Updates on my fantasy serial.

  • Thoughts on world-building and magic systems.

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses into my fantasy writing process.

4. Cozy Mysteries Full of Charm (C.J. Bellvue)

Mysteries hold a special place in my heart. As C.J. Bellvue, I get to write the kinds of cozy mysteries I grew up loving—stories filled with charm, clever puzzles, and small-town magic.

The Fablefern series is my passion project, and let me tell you, it took nearly a year of brainstorming to get it right. Rowan, a seamstress with a knack for solving magical mysteries, has been so much fun to write. And there’s the Sweet Street Sleuths series—because solving crime is even better when pastries are involved.

What you can expect here:

  • Mystery updates (what’s Rowan solving next?).

  • Cozy reflections on small-town life and my favorite whodunits.

  • Maybe even a few fun puzzles or mysteries for you!

5. Behind-the-Scenes Fun and Reflections

Juggling three pen names is a little like hosting three parties at once—one for romance lovers, one for fantasy dreamers, and one for mystery sleuths. The guest lists might look different, but at the core, every story I write is about connection, hope, and a little bit of magic.

On this blog, I’ll share:

  • Weekly updates on what I’m writing, planning, or brainstorming.

  • Insights into my writing process (and the occasional mishap).

  • Fun reflections on how I balance genres and what keeps me inspired.

Writing is messy and magical, and I can’t wait to take you behind the scenes.
